1st Christmas

Santa's Workshop
North Pole

Dear (Name),

Just a little note, to tell you just how special you are. And
your very first Christmas is most special of all! Everyone has
been waiting so long to share this special time of year with you.
.... Santa is so happy to finally get to meet you. Of course you
should be sleeping soundly, all cuddled up for the night, so I
won't disturb you. Especially, when your loved ones need their
rest, too. A new baby can be wonderfully time consuming.
So, please let them get some sleep, too. They need to be
able to keep on their toes for when you are exploring your
new world first hand.
.... Rudolph reminded me to let you know that you were
born on the same day as his birthday! Wow! You both
will be celebrating at the same time. Of course, he will
be celebrating his here with me, Mrs. Claus, all the elves,
and the rest of the Reindeer at the North Pole, and you
with your friends & family, but, I don't think you'd like
Reindeer Cake anyway, too much corn and oats in it
for little ones, such as yourself. He'll sure be thinking
of you when he blows out the candles!

Merry First Christmas!

Love,
Santa

(Skinny Santa?)

Dear (Little One),

Santa is so happy that Christmas is almost here. He can
hardly wait to load up the sleigh.
The elves have been busier than ever making sure I have
plenty of toys for all the children everywhere in the world.
Mrs. Claus is making gingerbread and sugar cookies
aplenty to fatten me up for my costume. Ho, ho, ho, who
ever heard of a skinny Santa? Sounds ridiculous doesn't it?
Well, my friend, start marking the days off on your calendar,
and before you know it, Christmas will be here!
Think of me and the reindeer this Christmas Eve while you
are snuggly tucked in your bed. Perhaps you might even be
able to guess what I'm going to bring to you that night!

Love, Santa

Dear (name),

Hello from everyone at the North Pole! Once again we are
preparing to visit you this Christmas Eve. We have just about
finished making all the lovely gifts we plan to give out this
year. Rudolph and I are so excited we can hardly wait to see
you! We will soon be packing the sleigh with eveyone's gifts.
Hope it all fits, I don't want to have to make an extra trip!

Rudolph and the other Reindeer are looking very fit, which is
just as well as we all have such alot of work to do! We all
enjoy making your Chrsitmas Special.
Now take good care and early to bed on Chrsitmas Eve, and
before you know it----- I'll be visiting you!

Dear (name),
I am just dropping you a line to let you know I have been told
you have been very good indeed this year! The elves and I
were just saying we are so lucky to know so many well behaved
children.
We had to work especially hard to make sure all your wonderful
surprises would be ready in time for Christmas, but, we do have
such fun making all the toys and we hope you will have lots of fun
playing with them.
I am just about prepared for Christmas and our long journey to
visit you. I only ask that you go to bed as early as possible on
Christmas Eve, so that I can leave you all your lovely gifts.
Thank-you for thinking about us. We so enjoy the little treats you
leave out for us. Rudolph was so full by the time we returned to
the North Pole last year, he could not eat his Christmas dinner!
We laughed so much to see him with his full tummy.
Have a wonderful Christmas! Love to all.....

Hi (name),

Not long from now, I’ll be leaving the North Pole for my long
trip on Christmas Eve to visit you. Even though it’s a very
long journey, I am looking forward to visiting your town most
of all!
Mrs. Claus and I have been checking with the elves, and they
tell us that you have been trying to be very good this year
and have been kind to all your friends and that makes
Rudolph the red-nosed reindeer very happy!
Santa’s helpers have been very busy in the workshop making
a special gift just for you. And since you have been so nice
since last Christmas, Santa’s sleigh will be filled with surprises
for you and all your family.
I must go now and get ready for my big trip around the world.
Be sure to go to bed early on Christmas Eve, because I only
stop by when boys and girls are fast asleep in their beds. The
reindeer and I will try to be very quiet when we land on your
roof, and if you can, please leave us a little treat by the
Christmas tree. Ho Ho Ho…

Merry Christmas, love,
Santa

Ho Ho Ho! Merry Christmas (Name)!

Everyone here has been soo busy. The elves are working
overtime so that all of the toys are ready to go for Christmas.
Rudolph and the other reindeer are working-out and getting
in shape for our big night around the world, Christmas Eve.

I am double checking my list to see whos been extra good
and who I am bringing those special wished for presents to.
But, not to worry, if you've been good, and I know you have,
and do your chores and help out, you are sure to receive a
special gift from me for Christmas. There is one extra special
gift that will be the last one made and wrapped. And I am sure,
you know which gift I am talking about. When we get done
wrapping all of the games, trains, dolls and special surprises
I will make sure your special package is on top!

My red suit has been getting a little too tight, I hope Mrs. Claus
doesn't put me on a diet this year. So, please don't leave out too
many treats for me, OK? I won't be able to resist them!. Don't
forget to go to bed early on Christmas Eve because your town is
one of my favorite stops!

Love,
Santa

(Sunburned Santa)
I cannot believe Christmas is almost here again! Hooray, huh? To
make sure I'd be well rested for the busy days ahead, Mrs.Claus
and I vacationed in Fort Lauderdale, Florida last week. Wow,
what a change of scenery. Instead of cold there was heat.
Instead of snow there was sand. And instead of Christmas
trees there were palm trees. Luckily, we didn't have any
hurricanes hit while we were there!

On the first day I looked rather silly sitting on the beach in my
heavy red Santa suit and tall, black boots. So Mrs. Claus bought
me a pair of yellow swim trunks and blue flip-flops. Much better.
On the third day I dozed off while basking in the sun. I woke up
two hours later all sunburned. Don't do that. Make sure you put
sunblock on! At least my face now matches my red Santa suit.
Ho ho ho ho! OW!

Overall it was a fantastic vacation. Mrs. Claus and I had great
fun collecting sea shells, swimming in the waves, and sending
postcards to all of our friends including the Easter Bunny, the
Great Pumpkin, Yukon Cornelius, and even our dentist, Elmer
the Elf.

And now that I'm back at the North Pole I'm anxious to work. I
checked the Naughty and Nice Lists this afternoon. You're
name was pretty easy to find near the top of the Nice List.
Congratulations. This means I'll be visiting your home on
Christmas day with a gift or two (wink).

Until then be good.

Love,
Sunburned Santa

Mrs. Claus
North Pole
Hello!
How are you? Are you excited it's Christmas? I bet you are.
Santa, the elves, and the reindeer are all excited too. Everyone
is so busy here at the North Pole getting ready for the big day.
The elves are making trains and dolls and stuffed toy animals.
The reindeer, led by Rudolph (of course) are busy practicing
their landing and take-off skills. And Santa keeps checking
his Naughty and Nice Lists.

I'm busy too. Today I'm sewing a new red suit for Santa. He
ruined his old suit yesterday when he accidentally spilled a
whole glass of Egg Nog on it. Santa is such a silly goose
sometimes.

Oops. The elves just told me I am needed in the toy shop. Excuse
me for about 27 seconds. I'll be right back...Start counting!

I'm back and goodness me you must have been very good this
past year! When I told the elves I was writing to you, they Just
had to show me some of the toys they have made for you. There
were...oh silly me—I can't tell you. If I did I'd ruin the surprise on
Christmas morning. Instead, let me just say your toys look way fun!

Well, time to return to sewing Santa's new suit. Continue to be good,
and with all those extra holiday goodies you've been eating remember
to brush your teeth. Oh, and certainly don't forget to go to bed on
time on Christmas Eve (very important)!

Have a Merry Christmas!

Love,
Mrs. Claus

Dear (Name),

Thanks for the visit at the mall. Over the last 12 months I've
heard so many great things about you that it was a gift to
have you sit on my lap and finally meet you (when you
are awake that is). As soon as I saw you I immediately
knew everything your family and friends have told me about
you, is true. And unlike some other kids, you did not pull
on my beard, poke me in the belly, or scream in my ear.
Thank you so much.

The elves showed me the picture they snapped of us together.
It's a real keeper. I showed it to Mrs. Claus in the North Pole
and she liked the picture so much she put it up on our
refrigerator door in our kitchen!

As soon as I had my next break, I rushed to call Morris the Elf,

the night shift supervisor in the North Pole's toy making
department, and gave him your list of toys. I told him how
good you've been. So expect lots of gifts this Christmas!
Keep up the good work and continue to make your family
(and all of us here at the North Pole, of course) very proud.
Rudolph and I will be visiting your house soon.

Ho, Ho, Ho! Merry Christmas

Love,
Santa Claus

Hi Guess who? Yup, it's me Rudolph! How are you? Are
you getting excited that Christmas is almost here again?
Me too. Bet you didnt' know reindeer can type! OK,OK,
we can't. Our hooves are too wide for the keys. But, elves
can! And my friend Elmer was kind enough to type this
for me from here in the reindeer barn.Dasher, Dancer,
Prancer, Vixon, Comet, Cupid, Donner, and Blitzen all
say "Hello".

We had a busy but oh-so fun day today playing reindeer
games like hoofball, checkers, fly-and-go-seek, pin the
tail on the reindeer, and elf bowling. I really liked bowling,
but, I must admit I think I look a little goofy in bowling
shoes (like anyone doesn't!). Especially since I could not
find any shoes in my hoof size. We all laughed when one
went flying off in the opposite direction of my ball!

I'm happy to report that my nose continues to glow. It seems
to get brighter every year. Sometimes, I think it might be a
little too bright. I kinda woke up several families last
Christmas when roosters mistook my nose for the sun and
began crowing! Since you don't have a rooster, I don't have
to worry too much about waking you and your family up! I hope.

Speaking of which, I'm looking forward to the visiting your house.
Santa tells me you have been so good this year that your name
is almost at the top of his Nice List. Wow! I'm so impressed!
Well, I guess need to go practice my take-offs, continue being
good, I will see you real soon.

Love,
Rudolph

Dear (Name),

Thank-you so much for your letter! I always enjoy receiving letters
and postcards from children all over the world! Mrs Claus, the Elves,
and all the Reindeer also love it when I read all the wonderful letters
out-loud to them.

I just returned from taking my new sleigh on a test flight. Wow, what
a ride! It zips through the air like a big red rocket. I bet I now can fly from
the North Pole to your's and everyone else's house even faster this year!
The reindeer like the new sleigh too. It comes with extra space so I can
pack a big bag of reindeer treats. All that flying makes them especially
hungry! Plus it comes with a stereo so I can listen to all my CD's.

The reindeer, especially Rudolph, insisted I tell you that they are all looking
forward to landing on your roof soon. Do me a favor and be sure to leave
some carrots for them (reindeer love carrots).

Thanks a bunch. I'll see you soon. Until then, be sure to behave, and go
to sleep early on Christmas Eve.

Dear (Name) ,

Merry Christmas!! Just a little note to let you know how happy
we all are up here at the North Pole that you have been so
thoughtful about others. You are growing up into a very fine
person which must make your family and friends very proud!
I know it sure makes me proud!
Christmas is one of the most wonderful times of the year. I
sure hope you don't let anyone ruin it for you. Just between you
and me....I don't really mind if people don't believe in me,
because I only stop at people's house that DO believe in me!
Actually, it saves me some time. I'd rather spend delivering
those special gifts to you and others, anyway. So, I guess it
all works out. Of course it's up to you.[wink}
Well, I have to get going, loads of letters to write, as well as
the sleigh to finish packing up. You know, busy... busy...
busy!
Have a wonderful Christmas, and I'll be stopping by sooner
than you know!

Love,
Santa

Dear (Name),

Just thought I'd send you a little note, to tell you everyone
here at the North Pole is thinking about you. Mrs. Claus just
mentioned the other day just how big you are getting! And it
is so nice that you are helping so much around the house.
Working together is what families do!

We all know how hard it is when someone is away from us for
a little while, and even harder when they are away for a long time.
Especially, when they are deployed in another country! Rest assured
they are thinking about you just as much (probably more), as you are
thinking about them! Try not to worry too much, and remember all
of us here at the North Pole are just as proud of them as you are! It
takes someone extra special to defend our country.

Whew! Didn't notice the time, I better get crackin' before Rudolph
chews through his barn door. Again. One of these days, I'll get around
to installing those automatic doors, like at the supermarket. Goodness
knows, hoofs are no good with doorknobs!

So, go to bed early, and I'll be seeing you soon, Merry Christmas!

Love,
Santa, Mrs. Claus, All the elves, Rudolph, Dasher, Dancer,

P.S. Don't forget to use the Magic Reindeer food Christmas Eve!

Dear (Name),

Happy New Year from the North Pole!

I hope you had a very nice Christmas, and are enjoying all
your gifts! All of us here at the North Pole are having a nice
quiet rest after all being so busy with all the Christmas preparations
and the very long trip Chrsitmas Eve. We are all elaxing by the
fireplace with some nice hot cocoa, all comfy cozy. Mrs. Claus
and myself have big comfortable chairs and all the Reindeer have
their own soft rugs to lay on. Of course, the Elves have their own
homes and families to get back to, after working so hard all year.
It's very cold here at the North Pole, so everyone is very happy
just staying indoors for awhile. We love to look out the windows at
the snow sparkling in the moonlight.
Mrs. Claus just reminded me you have been close to the top of
my Good List every year now. I am so proud of you! Keep up the
good work and I'll be sure to stop at your house again next
Christmas Eve, too!
Well, I only have a little more time to rest up before we get started
on this year's gifts, so, I better get going.

Your friend,

Santa
